How to view an inventory item
Understand the inventory item details page, stock cards, supplier details, purchase history, and movement history.
The inventory item view page gives a full picture of one stock item. It shows the current stock, selling price, cost price, low stock level, supplier, item details, stock adjustment form, purchase history from bills, supplier details, movement history, item status, danger zone, and quick summary.
Top item area
- The item name and description identify the stock item.
- Status badges show whether the item is active or inactive.
- Linked bill line badges show whether the item has been used in supplier bill records.
- Suppliers opens supplier records.
- Back to inventory returns to the inventory list.
- Edit item opens the item edit page.
Stock summary cards
- Current stock shows the current quantity available in Bizwazi.
- Selling price shows what customers pay.
- Cost price shows what the item costs the business.
- Low stock level shows when Bizwazi should warn you.
- Supplier shows the linked supplier if available.
Item details area
- Item name.
- SKU or item code.
- Unit.
- Status.
- Supplier.
- Supplier contact.
- Supplier phone.
- Supplier email.
- Description.
Right-side panels
- Adjust stock lets you manually correct stock.
- Supplier details shows preferred supplier information.
- Item status lets you reactivate inactive items.
- Danger zone explains whether deletion is available.
- Quick summary shows created date, last updated date, movement records, linked invoice lines, linked bill lines, and stock applied from bills.
