How inactive inventory items work
Use inactive status for items you no longer sell but want to keep in history.
Inactive items are useful when an item should not normally be used for new sales but should remain in old records.
Use inactive status when
- You no longer sell the item.
- The item is discontinued.
- The item should stay in old invoices or sales history.
Why not delete everything?
- Deleting old items can make past sales, bills or stock history harder to understand.
