How to search and filter inventory items

The Inventory page includes search and filters so you can quickly find the exact item you need, even when your stock list grows.

Search box

• Search by item name, such as Avocado, Sugar, Weetabix, or Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500ml.
• Search by SKU or item code, such as SKU-001 or SKU-weeta101.
• Search by description if you remember what the item is but not the exact item name.
• Use shorter search words if you are not sure of the exact spelling.

Status filter

• All statuses shows active and inactive items.
• Active shows items currently used as normal stock.
• Inactive shows old, discontinued, or unused items kept for history.

Stock filter

• All stock shows every item.
• Low stock helps find items that need restocking soon.
• Out of stock helps find items that are unavailable.
• Healthy stock helps focus on items without stock warnings, depending on your filter options.

Supplier filter

• All suppliers shows items from any supplier.
• Choose a supplier to see only items linked to that supplier.
• This is useful before ordering from a supplier.

Common filter problems

• If an item disappears, reset filters and search again.
• If you cannot find an inactive item, check the status filter.
• If supplier filtering does not show an item, the item may not be linked to that supplier yet.
• If searching by SKU fails, check whether the SKU was saved correctly.
