How to use the Low stock list

Use the Low stock list to find items that need attention, with current stock, alert level, cost value, and sales value.

The Low stock list shows items currently needing attention. It helps you see not only which items are low, but also the current stock, alert level, cost value, and sales value.

What it shows

  • Item name.
  • SKU.
  • Low stock badge.
  • Current stock.
  • Alert level.
  • Cost value.
  • Sales value.
  • View item button.

How to read it

  • Current stock shows how much is left.
  • Alert level shows the level where Bizwazi warns you.
  • Cost value estimates the money tied up in the current low stock.
  • Sales value estimates what the remaining stock could sell for.

How to use it

  • Open the item and check supplier details.
  • Review recent sales and movement history.
  • Decide whether to reorder.
  • Increase the low stock alert level if the item sells quickly.
  • Check whether the stock count is correct before ordering.

When not to reorder

  • The item is seasonal and demand is ending.
  • The item is inactive or being discontinued.
  • The item has low profit margin.
  • The item is low because you intentionally stopped buying it.

Example

  • If Extra Virgin Olive Oil has current stock of 2 and alert level of 5, Bizwazi flags it as low stock. If it is also one of the most sold items, you may need to reorder quickly.
