How the Inventory overview cards work
Learn what Total, Active, Inactive, Low stock, Out of stock, and Linked suppliers mean.
The top of the Inventory page gives a quick summary of your stock position. These cards help you see stock health before opening individual items.
Main summary cards
- Total items shows the full number of inventory items saved.
- Active shows items currently treated as normal stock items.
- Inactive shows old or unused items that should remain in history but should not be treated as normal active stock.
- Low stock shows items where the current stock is at or below the low stock alert level.
- Out of stock shows items where the stock quantity has reached zero or below the out-of-stock threshold used by Bizwazi.
- Linked suppliers shows items connected to a preferred supplier.
Reports and supplier linkage area
- The reports and supplier linkage panel helps you see stock risks and where stock comes from.
- Open inventory reports takes you to stock reporting tools.
- Review unlinked stock helps find items that do not yet have a supplier connected.
- Open suppliers takes you to supplier records.
How to use these cards daily
- Check Low stock before buying new stock.
- Check Out of stock before promising an item to a customer.
- Check Unlinked items if you want cleaner supplier records.
- Check Active and Inactive counts after tidying old stock.
