1. The Service

Bizwazi helps small businesses record sales, expenses, invoices, customers, suppliers, bills, inventory, account balances, and daily business activity. It may also show summaries such as daily profit, expected balances, actual balances, discrepancies, and reports based on the information entered by users.

Bizwazi is designed as a practical record-keeping tool. It does not replace your own review of business records, professional accounting advice, tax advice, legal advice, or official filings required by any authority.

2. Who may use Bizwazi

You may use Bizwazi only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Bizwazi on behalf of a business, organisation, shop, partnership, company, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to use the Service for that business and to enter business information into the Service.

3. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate account information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details safe.
  • You must not share your account with unauthorised people.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.
  • We may require email verification, password reset checks, two-factor authentication, anti-bot checks, or other security steps.

4. Business data and records

You keep ownership of the data you enter into Bizwazi, including sales, expenses, invoices, inventory records, customer details, supplier details, account balances, notes, uploads, and reports.

You give us permission to host, store, process, display, back up, transmit, and secure that data only as needed to provide, maintain, protect, and improve Bizwazi.

You are responsible for checking that your business records are accurate, complete, lawful, and suitable for your own business, accounting, tax, audit, or compliance needs. Bizwazi calculations depend on the information entered by users and may be wrong if the data entered is incomplete, duplicated, incorrectly categorised, or out of date.

5. Offline features

Bizwazi may allow you to add certain records, currently sales and expenses, when your internet connection is weak or unavailable.

Offline records are temporarily stored in the browser on the device you are using. They may not appear on other devices until the same device reconnects to the internet and the records sync successfully to your Bizwazi account.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for checking that offline records have synced correctly. Bizwazi is not responsible for loss of offline records caused by clearing browser storage, using private browsing mode, device loss, browser settings, unsupported browsers, or interrupted sync.

6. Free service and future features

Bizwazi may be provided free of charge for general use. We may later introduce optional paid features, premium services, usage limits, partner services, or business support services. If paid features are introduced, we will explain the price and relevant terms before you are charged.

We do not promise that every feature will always remain free, but we will not charge you unless you clearly choose a paid option or enter into a paid arrangement.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Bizwazi to:

  • Break the law or assist unlawful activity.
  • Upload malware, harmful code, spam, or abusive content.
  • Attempt unauthorised access to any account, system, server, database, or network.
  • Interfere with the security, performance, or availability of the Service.
  • Scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service except where allowed by law.
  • Enter personal data, customer data, or business data that you have no lawful right to use.
  • Use Bizwazi to create false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful records or invoices.

8. Uploads, invoices, and sharing

Bizwazi may allow you to upload files, create invoices, generate PDFs, send emails, or share invoice links through tools such as email or WhatsApp. You are responsible for checking the recipient, content, amount, customer details, and invoice information before sending or sharing anything.

You must not upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, abusive, infringing, malicious, or not yours to use. We may remove, restrict, or block content or access where required for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Service, including measures such as HTTPS, access controls, monitoring, backups, and abuse-prevention controls. No online service is perfectly secure, and you should keep your own records and backups where appropriate.

10. Availability and changes

Bizwazi is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of every feature. Maintenance, outages, upgrades, technical failures, third-party provider issues, and security events may affect access.

We may improve, change, suspend, or remove features where needed for security, legal compliance, usability, technical reasons, or business reasons.

11. Disclaimers

  • Bizwazi does not provide accounting, tax, legal, banking, investment, credit, or financial advice.
  • Reports, summaries, profit figures, and balance comparisons are generated from user-entered data.
  • You should check important figures before relying on them for business decisions, tax filings, finance applications, or legal purposes.
  • You are responsible for complying with applicable business, tax, accounting, employment, consumer, data protection, and record-keeping laws.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, business interruption, loss of expected savings, loss of data, or loss caused by inaccurate user-entered information.

If we are liable to you for any reason, our total liability will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us for Bizwazi in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) GBP £50. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Bizwazi at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, a security risk, unlawful activity, misuse, non-compliance, or a need to protect users, the Service, or third parties.

Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before terminating an account, but we may act immediately where required for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer or data protection laws give you additional rights that cannot legally be excluded. If you use Bizwazi from Kenya, Kenyan data protection law may also apply to the handling of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is important, we may also provide notice in the Service or by email where appropriate.
