How to record an invoice payment
Record money received against an invoice and optionally add that payment to sales.
When a customer pays an invoice, record the payment in the invoice module.
Steps
- Open the invoice.
- Choose Record Payment.
- Enter the amount paid.
- Select the account used: Cash, M-PESA or Bank.
- Save the payment.
Adding invoice payments to sales
Bizwazi may allow an invoice payment to also be recorded in sales. This helps the payment appear in sales reports while keeping the invoice as the source of truth.
Important
If a sale was created from an invoice payment, it should normally be managed from the invoice page so the invoice balance stays accurate.
