How partial invoice payments work

Record part payments when a customer pays an invoice in stages.

Some customers pay invoices in more than one payment.

Example

  • If an invoice is KSh 20,000 and the customer pays KSh 5,000 today, record KSh 5,000 as a payment. The remaining balance is KSh 15,000.

Steps

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Choose Record Payment.
  3. Enter the amount received.
  4. Choose Cash, M-PESA or Bank.
  5. Save the payment.
  6. Check that the invoice now shows the correct balance due.
