Why invoice-payment sales are read-only
Understand why sales created from invoice payments should usually be managed from the invoice page.
Some sales in Bizwazi may come from invoice payments. These are connected to the invoice module.
Why they are different
An invoice payment affects the invoice balance. If the related sale were edited separately, the sale amount and invoice balance could stop matching.
Best practice
Manage invoice-payment records from the invoice page. The invoice should remain the source of truth for customer balance, amount paid and amount still owed.
What to check
- Open the invoice linked to the payment.
- Check the customer name.
- Check the invoice amount, paid amount and balance due.
- Edit or delete the payment from the invoice module if needed.
