What to do if a sale was entered under the wrong account

Fix a sale recorded as Cash, M-PESA or Bank incorrectly.

A sale entered under the wrong account can make dashboard balances look wrong.

Steps

  1. Open Sales.
  2. Find the sale.
  3. Edit the sale if it is editable.
  4. Change the account to the correct one.
  5. Save the sale.
  6. Recheck the dashboard balance for the affected day.

Example

  • If a customer paid by M-PESA but the sale was recorded as Cash, the Cash balance may look too high and the M-PESA balance may look too low.
