How This week insights work on the Sales page
Understand top categories, largest sale, and sales by account for the current week.
The This week insights section gives a quick explanation of what is happening in the current week’s sales. It does not just show the total; it helps you understand where the sales came from.
Top categories
- Top categories shows which sales categories contributed the most during the selected week.
- This helps you see what type of income is strongest.
- For example, a shop may see Groceries, Milk, Cargo, or other custom categories.
- If many sales show no category, you may decide whether categories are worth using more consistently.
Largest sale
- Largest sale shows the biggest single sale in the current weekly view.
- This can help you spot important customer payments, invoice payments, or unusually large transactions.
- If the largest sale looks wrong, open the sales list and check the record.
Sales by account
- Sales by account shows how much income was received into Cash, M-PESA, and Bank/Card.
- This is useful because a high sales total does not tell you where the money should be.
- If most sales were recorded as Cash but most real money is in M-PESA, the account selection may need checking.
