Sales
How sale categories work
Understand saved categories, new categories, and No category.
Sale categories help you group income into useful types. They are optional, but they can make reports and weekly insights more useful.
How categories are used
- Tap a saved category if the sale belongs to that type.
- Type a new category if the category is not shown.
- Choose No category when the category does not matter.
- Use Manage categories if you need to organise your saved category list.
Good category examples
- Groceries for grocery sales.
- Milk for milk sales.
- Cargo for transport or delivery income.
- Olive oil for a product line.
- Consultation for service income.
When to keep categories simple
- Too many categories can make reports harder to read.
- Use categories that help you make decisions.
- Avoid creating a new category for every tiny difference.
- For stock-linked sales, inventory item details may already explain what was sold.
