Sales
What Today, This week, Month to date, Year to date and Since start mean
Understand the time periods used on the Sales page.
Bizwazi groups sales into useful periods so you can review income at different levels. These periods help you move from a daily view to a weekly, monthly, yearly, or all-time view.
Today
- Today means the current Bizwazi trading day.
- This is the period most useful for checking daily sales and daily cash-up.
- If your business day cut-off time is not midnight, today may not behave exactly like a normal calendar day.
This week
- This week uses a Monday-to-Sunday week.
- It is useful for reviewing whether the week is strong or weak.
- Weekly totals help you compare one trading week with another.
Month to date and Year to date
- Month to date starts from the first day of the current month.
- Year to date starts from the first day of the current year.
- These figures help you check whether sales are growing over a longer period.
Since start
- Since start shows all recorded sales from the earliest Bizwazi record.
- This is useful when you want the full history rather than a short period.
