How to search and filter sales

Learn how to use the search box and filter panel on the Sales page.

The Sales page includes a search box and a filter panel so you can quickly find the records you need. This is useful when your sales list becomes long.

Using search

  • Type into the Search sales box to look for matching sales.
  • Search is useful when you remember a customer name, note, invoice number, category, or product detail.
  • Use short words if you are not sure of the exact wording.
  • After searching, check the list heading to see what is currently being shown.

Using filters

  • Open Filter to show the filter panel.
  • Choose an account such as All accounts, Cash, M-PESA, or Bank/Card.
  • Choose a category such as All categories, Cargo, Groceries, Invoice payment, or another saved category.
  • Choose a range such as All, Today, This week, Month to date, YTD, Since start, Last 30 days, or Custom.
  • Use Apply filters to update the list.
  • Use Clear all when you want to remove the filter choices.

When filters help most

  • Use account filters when reconciling Cash, M-PESA, or Bank/Card.
  • Use category filters when checking which sales type performs best.
  • Use period filters when reviewing a day, week, month, or year.
  • Use custom range when checking a specific date period.
