How to search and filter sales
Learn how to use the search box and filter panel on the Sales page.
The Sales page includes a search box and a filter panel so you can quickly find the records you need. This is useful when your sales list becomes long.
Using search
- Type into the Search sales box to look for matching sales.
- Search is useful when you remember a customer name, note, invoice number, category, or product detail.
- Use short words if you are not sure of the exact wording.
- After searching, check the list heading to see what is currently being shown.
Using filters
- Open Filter to show the filter panel.
- Choose an account such as All accounts, Cash, M-PESA, or Bank/Card.
- Choose a category such as All categories, Cargo, Groceries, Invoice payment, or another saved category.
- Choose a range such as All, Today, This week, Month to date, YTD, Since start, Last 30 days, or Custom.
- Use Apply filters to update the list.
- Use Clear all when you want to remove the filter choices.
When filters help most
- Use account filters when reconciling Cash, M-PESA, or Bank/Card.
- Use category filters when checking which sales type performs best.
- Use period filters when reviewing a day, week, month, or year.
- Use custom range when checking a specific date period.
