What Receipt attached and Open receipt mean

Understand receipt badges and how to view uploaded receipts.

When an expense has a saved receipt, the expense card can show a Receipt attached badge and an Open receipt action.

Receipt attached

  • This means a receipt file has been saved with the expense.
  • The file may be an image or PDF.
  • The badge helps you quickly see which expenses have proof attached.

Open receipt

  • Open receipt lets you view the attached file.
  • Use it when checking old expenses.
  • Use it when comparing Bizwazi records against paper records, supplier statements, or accountant queries.

If the receipt does not open

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Refresh the page and try again.
  • Check whether the receipt was actually attached.
  • If the file was deleted from storage or failed to upload originally, you may need to edit the expense and attach it again.
