How to record staff wages or casual labour

Record money paid to workers as a business expense.

Wages and casual labour payments should be recorded clearly so profit is not overstated.

Steps

  1. Open Expenses.
  2. Add a new expense.
  3. Enter the amount paid.
  4. Choose the payment account.
  5. Choose Wages, Salaries or a similar category.
  6. Add a note describing the payment period or worker role.
  7. Save the expense.

  • Avoid adding unnecessary personal information in notes.
