How to find missing transfers between Cash, M-PESA and Bank

Check whether money moved between accounts but was not recorded as a transfer.

Missing transfers are a common reason account balances do not make sense.

Examples of missing transfers

  • Cash deposited into Bank but no transfer recorded.
  • M-PESA moved to Bank but no transfer recorded.
  • Bank withdrawal into Cash but no transfer recorded.
  • Cash moved into M-PESA float but no transfer recorded.

Steps

  1. Open Transfers.
  2. Check the affected day.
  3. Compare with real cash movement, M-PESA messages, or bank records.
  4. Add the missing transfer.
  5. Review the dashboard balances again.
