How to check if an expense was forgotten

A forgotten expense can make actual Cash, M-PESA or Bank lower than Bizwazi expects.

Signs of a forgotten expense

  • Cash is short.
  • M-PESA is lower than expected.
  • Bank is lower than expected.
  • You have a receipt that is not in Bizwazi.
  • Supplier or staff payment was made but not recorded.

Steps

  1. Review the day’s expenses.
  2. Check receipts and payment messages.
  3. Check supplier bill payments.
  4. Add the missing expense or bill payment.
  5. Review the dashboard again.
