Why the Home dashboard may show start balances missing

Understand the warning that asks you to enter opening Cash, M-PESA, and Bank balances.

The Start balances missing warning appears when Bizwazi needs opening balances before it can track the trading day properly.

What to check

  • Bizwazi needs a starting Cash balance.
  • Bizwazi needs a starting M-PESA balance.
  • Bizwazi needs a starting Bank/Card balance.
  • Once these are saved, Bizwazi can calculate expected end balances.
  • Without start balances, discrepancy checks are incomplete.

Useful tips

  • Enter start balances at the beginning of the trading day.
  • Use 0.00 only if that account genuinely started at zero.
  • If you are setting up Bizwazi for the first time, choose a clean start day and enter the real opening balances.
