How transfers work from the Home dashboard

Transfers record money moving between accounts. They help explain balance differences, but they do not count as sales, expenses, or profit.

What to check

• Use Cash to M-PESA when cash is converted into M-PESA or paid into a mobile money balance.
• Use Cash to Bank/Card when cash is deposited into a bank or card account.
• Use M-PESA to Bank/Card when M-PESA money is moved to the bank.
• Use New transfer to record the movement.
• Use Transfer history to review previous movements.

Useful tips

• Transfers should not change profit.
• If M-PESA and Bank both look wrong, check whether a transfer was missed.
• If a transfer was entered backwards, it can make two balances look wrong at the same time.
