How to use the supplier summary cards
Understand total suppliers, active suppliers, inactive suppliers, linked records, stock suppliers, bill-only suppliers, and stock-and-bills suppliers.
The summary cards at the top of the Suppliers page give you a quick overview of your supplier records. They help you see whether your supplier list is organised and whether suppliers are being used properly.
Total suppliers
- This shows the total number of supplier records saved in Bizwazi.
- It includes active and inactive suppliers.
Active suppliers
- This shows suppliers currently marked as active.
- Active suppliers are suppliers you still use or expect to use.
Inactive suppliers
- This shows suppliers marked as inactive.
- Inactive suppliers remain in records but should not normally be used for new stock or bills.
Linked records
- This shows suppliers connected to inventory items, bills, or other records.
- Linked suppliers are usually more useful because they explain stock and payable activity.
Stock suppliers
- These are suppliers used for inventory and stock value tracking.
- They are useful for wholesalers and product suppliers.
Bill-only suppliers
- These are suppliers used for utilities, rent, internet, electricity, services, and other non-stock bills.
- They help organise payables without showing stock-focused data.
Stock and bills
- These suppliers are used for both inventory and payable bills.
- They are useful when a supplier provides products and also sends bills or statements.
