How the supplier profile page works

The supplier profile page gives a deeper view of one supplier. It is where you can review stock links, bill links, supplier details, outstanding amounts, actions, and safety warnings.

What appears at the top

• The supplier name appears clearly at the top.
• Status badges show whether the supplier is active or inactive.
• Type badges show whether the supplier is stock, bill-only, or stock and bills.
• Linked item and linked bill badges show how many records connect to this supplier.
• Outstanding amount badges can show money still due.

Stock value and supplier bills section

• Stock cost value shows the estimated cost of linked stock.
• Stock retail value shows the estimated selling value of linked stock.
• Bills total value shows total bills linked to the supplier.
• Bills outstanding shows how much is still due.

Linked inventory section

• This shows stock items currently connected to the supplier.
• If no stock is linked, Bizwazi explains that there is no linked inventory yet.
• You can add an item or edit inventory items to select this supplier.

Linked bills section

• This shows bills connected to the supplier.
• It can show bill number, payment status, balance status, bill date, due date, total, and balance.
• Use this to review unpaid or part-paid bills for the supplier.

Supplier details section

• This shows supplier name, type, status, contact person, phone, email, address, and notes.
• Use Edit details to correct or improve the supplier profile.

Actions section

• Add inventory item creates stock connected to the supplier.
• Edit supplier updates supplier details.
• View linked bills opens the related bill records.
• Set inactive keeps old records but stops the supplier being treated as normally active.

Quick summary

• The quick summary shows supplier type, created date, last updated date, inventory item count, stock cost value, bill count, outstanding bills, and profile completeness.

Delete supplier warning

• If linked records exist, Bizwazi may block deletion.
• This protects stock, bills, and reporting history.
