How to read a supplier card

Each supplier card gives a compact summary of one supplier. It shows contact details, supplier type, linked records, stock value, bill totals, outstanding balances, address, notes, and available actions.

Supplier name and badges

• The supplier name appears at the top of the card.
• The Active or Inactive badge shows whether the supplier is currently used.
• The supplier type badge shows whether the supplier is a stock supplier, bill-only supplier, or stock and bills supplier.
• Linked item and linked bill badges show how connected the supplier is.

Contact details

• Contact shows the person you deal with.
• Phone shows the supplier phone number.
• Email shows the supplier email address.
• If these fields are blank, Bizwazi shows a dash.

Linked items

• Linked items shows how many inventory items are connected to this supplier.
• A stock supplier with zero linked items may need stock linked later.

Linked bills

• Linked bills shows how many supplier bills are connected to this supplier.
• A supplier with linked bills may have bill totals and outstanding balances.

Stock cost value

• This estimates the cost value of stock connected to the supplier.
• It depends on linked inventory items, stock quantities, and cost prices.

Stock retail value

• This estimates the selling value of stock connected to the supplier.
• It depends on linked inventory items, quantities, and selling prices.

Bills total

• This shows the total value of bills linked to the supplier.

Bills outstanding

• This shows the unpaid or remaining balance linked to that supplier.
• If this value is high, open View bills and review what needs paying.

Action buttons

• View opens the supplier profile page.
• Edit lets you update supplier details.
• View stock opens stock connected to that supplier where available.
• View bills opens bills connected to that supplier.
• Set inactive marks the supplier inactive without deleting historical records.
• Delete removes the supplier only when safe and allowed.
