Understand why an invoice may still show unpaid or part-paid after receiving money.
An invoice may still show unpaid or part-paid if the payment has not been recorded correctly.
Check these things
- Was the payment recorded from the invoice page?
- Was the payment amount correct?
- Was the payment saved?
- Was the payment recorded against the right invoice?
- Was the payment later deleted or edited?
Example
If an invoice total is KSh 8,000 and only KSh 3,000 has been recorded as paid, the invoice will still show a balance due of KSh 5,000.
