How to find duplicate sales

Look for sales that may have been entered more than once.

Duplicate sales make income and account balances too high.

Steps

  1. Open Sales.
  2. Filter by the affected date.
  3. Look for repeated amounts.
  4. Look for repeated notes or categories.
  5. Check whether the same customer payment was entered twice.
  6. Delete or correct the duplicate only if you are sure.

Common duplicate example

  • An invoice payment is recorded in the invoice module and then manually entered again as a normal sale.
