What Payables mean on the Business page

Understand supplier bills and money owed out.

Payables are amounts your business still owes to suppliers or other bill records. They help you plan cash leaving the business.

What to check

  • Outstanding bills show the total balance still due across bills.
  • Overdue bills value shows bills that are late if due dates are used.
  • Average bill value is based on bills created.
  • Bills due soon shows bills due within the next few days.
  • Total bills shows how many bill records exist.
  • Overdue count shows how many bills need urgent attention.

Useful tips

  • Payables affect cash flow because they are future or outstanding money out.
  • A bill may not affect today’s cash until it is paid, but it still matters.
  • Use due dates to avoid forgetting supplier payments.
