M-PESA Records

Why M-PESA sales should be recorded separately from cash

M-PESA and Cash are different money locations, so recording them separately keeps balances clearer.

A sale paid through M-PESA is not the same as a sale paid in physical cash. If M-PESA sales are recorded as Cash, both balances can look wrong.

For example, if a customer pays KSh 1,000 by M-PESA but the sale is recorded as Cash, Cash may look KSh 1,000 too high and M-PESA may look KSh 1,000 too low.

Bizwazi separates Cash, M-PESA and Bank so a business owner can see where money is actually held.
